It might be interesting to see what similar words are shared between English and Spanish. I mean, and I actually don't know too much about this, but I do understand that English some parts Latin, some parts German and it might be interesting to see what words are still Latin and how they are related to their Spanish counterparts. As a spanish speaker myself, but having grown up speaking mainly English --I always found it interesting that when ever I had to speak all Spanish, I usually found that the words with more syllables were easier to translate from English to Spanish. I've always wondered if that had to do with Latin.
